John is has held a variety of senior roles in the networking and communications industry for over 20 years. He is currently responsible for new market and technologies development at Cisco Systems including; business plan development for new billion dollar addressable market opportunities, incubation of newly formed business units, adjacent market development, company wide innovation sponsorship and ideation tool development.

Past high impact roles include: product technology and marketing development team leadership for the global introduction of “flag-ship” next generation hardware and software high end routing product (Cisco CRS-1 and IOS XR), and the associated technology innovation campaign; Cisco global mobility solutions and marketing development leadership; and Cisco EMEA market development for high end routing (establishing a revenue trajectory from zero to $400M in three financial years).
