As Director of Customer Acquisition and Retention, Danielle DiMatteo leads the consumer marketing efforts at Boingo Wireless. Her responsibilities encompass the entire customer lifecycle – from growing the subscriber base, improving the customer experience, to implementing customer loyalty programs. DiMatteo’s focus on growth and retention strategies has been a pervasive aspect of her career, which spans the magazine publishing industry (Ms. Magazine, Harper’s and The Economist), the cable sector (Time Warner), and social media network (MySpace). DiMatteo’s experience with diverse subscriber segments at all customer touch points has been instrumental in her role at Boingo, where her efforts have resulted in robust subscriber growth and churn reduction. An extrovert, DiMatteo enjoys being on the frontline of customer communications, where she can exemplify the company’s brand personality as well as obtain direct feedback. DiMatteo holds a degree in communications from Stonehill College in North Easton, Massachusetts. A native of Long Island, New York, she now resides in Los Angeles near her identical twin sister.
