Herbert Mittermayr is Director for Strategy and Innovation in the Mobile Solutions Division of Alcatel's Mobile Communication Group. Herbert has more than 10 years of experience in the telecom industry. He joined Alcatel in 1994 as Head of Business Center Export in Alcatel's Transmission Division. He held several senior roles in the Transmission and Application Divisions, including head of the business unit for Convergent Content Applications. Prior to joining Alcatel, Herbert was Managing Director of Ingenio, a start-up software company, and was Head of a Business Unit within Asea Brown Boveri (ABB) prior to that. Herbert Mittermayr graduated from the Technical University Graz, Austria in Electrical Engineering and Business. He holds a PhD in Measurement Systems from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Technical University Graz.
